How to submit material to the
Jewish Memorial Center?




1. Write the biography or the text to be submitted.

2. Photographs, graphics, images, documents and artworks, should be scanned
    for Internet usage in no more than 100-200 DPI, and saved as JPG. or JIF. files.

3. If you scan documents as photos - no more than 100 DPI. Please name each file with
    the name of the person to be commemorated (Mike).
    If you send more than 1 item per person, please add a number to
    each item (Mike 1, Mike 2 etc.).

4. Please fill in the ‘Registration Form’ with the corresponding number for each caption
    you want to appear (Example: 1- Mike in a party, 1988. 2- Mike, age 16).

5. In the event you send a Gallery of photos, ducuments etc., number each item with
    a corresponding Gallery number (Example: 1- Mike in a party, 1988. - Gallery 1.
    Mike, age 16 - Gallery 1.  Deana at school – Gallery 2, etc. ).

6. Copy the biography or the text to be submitted, and paste it in the first person’s biography
    box in the ‘Registration Form’. Please note that you can type text directly
    in the designated area.

7. Biographies or texts, can be sent as an attachment, but only if created in the
    text editor ‘WORD’ 6 or 7. Texts that were created in other text editors should
    be copied and pasted.

8. Adding items:
    When sending ‘attachments’, click on ‘ADD ITEMS’ on the ‘Registration Form’.
    An E. mail will open, and you can add ‘attachments’.

9. Send!
 

NOTES:

a. If you do not have a scanner, you can have your photographs, graphics, images
and documents scanned to disc or CD at any copy center or photo shop near your house.
Please let them name each photo file with the name of the person to be commemorated.

Please note that all photographs, graphics, images and documents submitted to JMC,
will not be stored or returned.

b. Once you submit any material to JMC, you will receive a reference number.
Different reference numbers will be given for each person to be commemorated.
Please use these numbers each time you contact us. Reference numbers will also
be used for identification needs, or while updating or payment.

c. If you have no way to scan photographs, graphics, images and documents that you
wish to appear on a memorial, you can send it to JMC to be scanned. However, first you
have to submit your text and the ‘Registration Form’, so we can provide you with
a reference number to be written on the back of all items you wish to scan.

5. Upon receiving your reference number we shall inform you of the address to
    send your items to be scanned.
